A civilian walks into a bank, demanding to speak to the bank manager.
“I demand that you terminate all of your employees. Afterwards, you will provide me with the combination to the vault.
“You’re not employed here,” the manager says.
“So?”
“You have no authorization to make such a demand.”
“So. Do it anyway.”
What does the bank manager do?
Does he laugh in the man’s face, or does he comply with the man’s request?
He’s not an employee. He’s not a customer. He has no claim to the money inside the vault. It belongs to the bank and the bank’s customers.
The bank manager does neither. Instead, he reports the crime. The police respond and swiftly arrest the man, charge him with attempted robbery, escort him out of the bank and straight to a jail cell.
Why? Because his actions were illegal. He committed a crime.
If you or I pulled a stunt like this, we’d face the same consequences.
So, my question is this.
Why isn’t Elon Musk being held to the same standards as you and I would be?
DOGE isn’t an actual agency. Any newly formed government agency MUST receive Congressional approval. It has not. Musk is NOT an elected official. Musk is NOT a bona fide government employee, regardless of what Trump wants you to think. He is NOT getting paid for what he’s doing. He has NOT been vetted. He does NOT have a security clearance. He is NOT entitled to access the funds that the Treasury Department is responsible for.
Yet he did. He and his posse of young adult hackers.
The Treasury Department is responsible for issuing monthly Social Security checks, Medicare payments, Medicaid payments, Income Tax Returns, and so much more. More than 4 TRILLION dollars is now in Musk’s hands. Just yesterday, February 8, 2025, Musk was given permission to HALT all Social Security payments and tax refunds.
Have you any idea how many Americans depend on their monthly Social Security checks? For some of us, that’s our only means of income. Now we’re facing the possibility of losing it.
I worked my entire life paying into the system so I could have a steady income once I retired. Now a billionaire is telling me that I’m NOT entitled to it?
Social Security is NOT an entitlement as Musk and Trump have repeatedly said. That money was put there by working Americans who have/had it deducted from every single paycheck they received throughout their lifetimes. What right does Musk have to come along and take it away?
That is YOUR money. That is MY money. Why is Congress not putting a stop to this? Why are they remaining so quiet? I’ll tell you why. Not a single one of them has enough courage to stand up to Donald Trump or Elon Musk and tell them that what they’re doing is wrong. Their power and money is more important to them than you and I are.
Someone in power needs to act NOW and prevent the unnecessary suffering of millions of American citizens!!!
