Those who are born with a silver spoon in their mouth, who have never known anything but wealth, who have never had to decide between feeding their kids or paying the electric bill, will NEVER understand what it means to have to struggle to make ends meet.

Do you honestly think that multi-millionaires and billionaires are thinking about the average and low income families while they’re dining on filet mignon and sipping Dom Perignon from Waterford Crystal glasses? Or partying on their million-dollar yachts? Or wearing only expensive brand name clothing? Or driving the best and priciest vehicles that money can buy?

Trust me. Middle, lower class and poor people are the LAST things on their minds. In all honesty, they probably never give them a second thought. Unless they’re considering what they can take away from them. Wealthy people are the greediest people on earth. No matter how much money they have or the amount of material possessions they own, it’s never quite enough. They’re never satisfied. They always want more.

I think it’s safe to say that the majority of Americans are aware of what’s been happening over the past month. How Elon Musk has gained enough power to waltz into government agencies and fire staff without cause, shutter USAID, access the Treasury Department’s main computer system, access the IRS systems, fire high-ranking Military staff, gut Medicaid, and threaten to end Social Security and Medicare. According to a statement made by Musk during a recent interview with Joe Rogan, he claimed that, “Social Security is the biggest Ponzi scheme ever.”

Excuse me? A Ponzi scheme? Isn’t that rich (pardon the pun) coming from the richest man in the world who has probably never paid a dime into Social Security and has absolutely no idea what it’s for or how it works. The cuts he has made thus far have devasted American citizens and families. Unfortunately, there is still more destruction to come. Trump and Musk are stomping all over the less fortunate, making cuts to programs that Americans depend on to help them get by so they can accumulate enough money to cover his $4 Trillion tax cuts for the wealthiest people in America.

Neither of these men have an inkling of an idea what having to struggle means.

Struggling is that young couple with small children that lives next door to you. Both of them work full-time jobs yet barely make enough to get by. Rent and utilities have to be paid. Groceries have to be bought. The price of daycare these days is ridiculous. For some, unaffordable. They worry and fret while struggling to ensure that they can meet all their monthly bills without worrying about their lights and/or water being disconnected. Now their children will no longer receive free lunches because they no longer exist, so this added debt just adds to their worries.

Struggling is that elderly widow whose only income is her monthly Social Security check that she now faces the possibility of losing. She’s already rationing her medications and her meals consist mostly of soup and crackers. What happens to her if she loses her only income? Homelessness? Nursing home? If she loses her Social Security, she’ll undoubtedly lose her Medicare as well, so  a nursing home is out of the question. And if she has no family she can depend on to take her in? What then? Trump and Musk have gutted Medicaid, so she certainly can’t depend on that to pay for a nursing home.

Struggling is that single mother with small children who was abandoned by her husband. She receives no child support and she’s working three jobs trying to make ends meet yet still doesn’t have enough money left over to buy food to feed her hungry children after paying all her monthly bills. SNAP benefits have been gutted so she’ll lose what few food stamps she received monthly. But, hey, there’s always family, friends, churches and food pantries that can donate, right?

Struggling is that teenage mother who was forced into delivering an unwanted child because abortions have been banned countrywide. Ostracized and thrown out of her home by her parents, she is now forced to live on the streets or with friends. She can barely take care of herself, much less an infant. Yet when she applies for government assistance, she automatically becomes a “welfare momma” who’s dependent upon the government.

Trump nor Musk should be making decisions like taking away food stamps, Medicaid, Social Security or Medicare. They did all of this without giving one thought to the consequences these cuts would have on average, everyday American citizens.

Thousands have been fired from their jobs without justifiable cause. Much needed and appreciated governmental agencies have been shuttered and can no longer supply the assistance that’s needed by millions of poor Americans. They’ve had their livelihoods taken away. Now they’re looking at the possibility of losing their homes, their transportation, their insurance, they’ll be unable to pay bills or feed their children. All of this was done to provide tax cuts for the elites. Where the hell is the justification in that? How does putting people out of work and taking away their incomes and benefits make America great?

Struggling is real, and millions of innocent Americans are starting to feel the impact of these actions taken by Trump and Musk. I’d like to add some positivity to this statement, but I can’t. There isn’t any. It’s only going to get worse.

This is exactly the types of things that me and hundreds of other members of the Resistance warned you about. We told you it was all laid out in Project 2025 but you refused to believe that Trump was involved in the project. We told you that Trump is a pathological liar and campaigned on what he knew you wanted to hear, when all along, he knew exactly what he was going to do. We explained to you how tariffs really work. We told you that additional costs resulting from tariffs is NOT paid by the exporter but by the CONSUMER. You refused to believe that as well. You can’t say that we didn’t warn you about the destruction that would follow if he implemented them. And he did. Canada. Mexico. China. All three have imposed reciprocal tariffs against American imports/exports. Right now, because of Donald Trump, the U.S. is involved in a Trade War. And YOU, the consumer, will reap the not-so-pleasant rewards.

Six weeks into his presidency, half of Project 2025’s manifesto has been enacted. Every action he has taken, every Executive Order he has signed, are straight out of Project 2025. Mass deportation. Withdrawal from WHO. Withdrawal from the Paris Climate Accord. Gutting of Medicaid, Head Start, and SNAP benefits. Silencing the CDC from issuing any public notices pertaining to viral outbreaks. Firing of FAA officials. Hiring freeze on air traffic controllers. Dismantling of NOAA and the firing of meteorologists. The NHC is next. Gutting the VA, firing thousands of staff, and closing multiple offices nationwide. The closing of National Parks and firing of Park Rangers. The firing of thousands of staff from the IRS and the SSA. Firing of career civil servants, prosecutors, FBI Agents, et.al., without justifiable cause, in order to overhaul the agencies and replace the staff with Trump loyalists. MAGA followers now run the CIA, FBI, DOJ, HHS, Homeland Security, and DoD. All people who would never tell him NO. By the way, be on the lookout for the removal of the U.S. from NATO. That’s in Project 2025 as well. And if you don’t understand the importance of being a member of NATO yet, you will after the next terrorist attack against the U.S. when we have no allies left to stand with us. No NATO = fighting our battles alone. Don’t think for one second that our adversaries aren’t watching and waiting for the perfect moment to take advantage of our current vulnerability.

There is no one in this administration to hold Trump or Musk accountable. That’s exactly the way he intended it to be. The only ones standing up to this administration are judges, and because of that, they’re now being threatened with impeachment for blocking his Executive Orders and ruling against him. Say what you will, but what we’re seeing isn’t a Presidential Administration. It’s a Criminal Enterprise filled with criminals who have been placed in some of the most important and respected positions within the U.S. Government.

You know who I mostly blame for all of this? The Supreme Court. On the day they ruled in favor of Trump having complete and total immunity, they started the downfall of our beloved democracy. They gave him the green light to do whatever he wanted to do, including criminal activity, without fear of accountability. And he’s taking advantage of that. The Supreme Court could easily remedy the disaster they created by reversing their immunity ruling. They definitely have the power to do that, but don’t hold your breath waiting for it to happen. Especially considering how many of the Justices are MAGA supporters.

Until the dam breaks, and we must believe that it eventually will, Trump and Musk are free to do whatever the hell they want, to anyone and any entity they choose, without repercussions or being held liable.

The thought of the irreparable damage that could stem from their carelessness is more terrifying than any horror movie I’ve ever seen or any Stephen King book I’ve ever read.

Those are fiction.
